Daily research on Cisco solutions 24/03/2011
Week 3 Day 4
i had setup a draft of PPT for current training, finished basic Flash tutorial today, downloaded Vcentre server and in process of finding guide for Vcentre Server
I had research on how to recover/reset password on ESXi and guide on Vcentre server.
the outcome is i had found out that there is two method of reseting the password
1. by repairing the ESXi host using the installer, it will preserve the data but system configuration will be lost/reset 2. by booting up using linux live CD, it is troublesome to use this method and instead of reseting the password to null it allow user to change the password.
I feel that method one is better because it is fast and easy, although user need to reconfigure system, it is still a faster process than method two
last point, i had found a starting guide of Vcentre server, regarding adding ESXi host
Can you tell us what you have research on and what are the outcomes of your research?
