Progress on cisco internship update

for the past few week, we are involve in few customer Telepresence demo session. before the demo start we have to test all the TP rooms make sure the bridge is working and quantity is good, average once TP rooms testing or mini demo per week

been task to do some simple router configuration and password recovery. we have also done some assemble for Cisco Cius and tandberg, but the configure part is done by the engineer.

some time i had to troubleshoot CBC equipment like the demo threater main screen, change the XML coding for media wall (some simple coding), replace/install server, change power adpter, look for IT to change printer link, etc..

At week 11 i have schduled a meeting with one of programing department for customize room wizard program request by the CBC program manager. the contant is about how to show all meeting room schduled in one screen and the map of CBC and the disscussion is lead by us the intern.

still every now and than people will ask us to find stuff in store which is very time consuming or ask us to do shipment to other country

i have contacted the RFID reader vedon which is located in hong kong for the RFID reader SDK but after a long wait of 3 to 4 week, i realize he is trying to earn money out of cisco as he suggest to write the application, trying to look for another solution i contacted Cisco hong kong for advise as the RFID application come from them 2 year ago. At first it look like there is some hope, but the owner of the application left Cisco 2 year ago and he have not left any source code, a hong kong engineer suggest me to use AXP, so i spend another 1 to 2 week research on AXP. Unfortunately my boss stop me as he told me the product AXP is going to be end of life. with no choice left i try to research on open source. at first i try to use TCP connection but it did not work as i still need the library of the RFID reader. As the time line to finish the project is near, i have to give up and go for plan B. currently still trying to move all equipment to cisco network, using java decompiler to change all the IP in the java file.
